Best thing that ever happened was Waugh giving it back to Ambrose, as well as bouncing their tailenders.

The greatest series I ever saw as a youngster, was the series win against the Windies on their home turf. That was the moment that the best test team that ever played the game was born. They were full of courage and resilience and talent, and came off the back of the Border era, which is what produced the toughness, which was carried on by Steve Waugh. We saw such great champions from that era, including the Waugh brothers, Paul Reiffel, Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, Mark Taylor, etc, etc. The best sides to have ever played the game, even better than the formidable West Indies sides of the 80's, from that moment on and continuing for a decade. I feel extremely privileged to have seen it, because I don't think I will witness it again in my lifetime.

Those dastardly English - imagine not just letting St Don score as many runs as he liked

Whomever wrote that historical introduction was having a laugh. A prison colony from the 19th century? Try the 18th: 1788.

A country made from five former colonies? Try six.

1) Western Australia
2) South Australia
3) Victoria
4) Tasmania
5) New South Wales
6) Queensland.

Otherwise this was a pretty fun documentary. Never get tired of seeing Curtly Ambrose and Steve Waugh clash.

The greatest revenge Australia ever dished out to the poms was after the bodyline series the combination of Thompson, Lillee and Marsh.
