True story - I was at an "Italian" restaurant here in America and I ordered bruschetta, using the proper pronunciation " bru-skate-tah" (I used to live in Milano), and the waitress "corrected" me with "brewshettuh"....

What I like about Italian pronunciation is that it seems to always follow the rules. Once you've understood them, you can pronounce everything, even if you don't know the word. They even change the spelling of words with foreign language background to follow their pronunciation rules (idk if that's still true for modern Anglicisms).

I have recommended your videos to so many people, I've watched them all because even though my Italian isn't terrible, I've forgotten a lot since I lived there. Now I visit Italy often so going over the basics really helps reinforce my learning and has given me the confidence to use the language more and more ♥grazie mille

When the man said 'bicchiere' it sounded like bit-tsyeh-reh. The lady pronounced it as bik-kyeh-reh.
