In a world that constantly pushes us to run faster, this video feels like a gentle hug reminding us: simply pausing and taking a breath right now is already enough.

From Oregon, Eastern and Western, both rural environments to which I feel quite connected. Without being too windy about it, I'll start with the Eastern portion first.
Growing up in the Blue Mountains, I firmly believe that as a youngster, I heard the voice ( not literally, but figuratively) of the Buddah, wtihout knowing that Buddhism even existed. Hunting big game was almost a requirement in that region. Hearing conversations about " I killtd this or I killed that", I would feel waves of near nausea creep over me. On the last day I ever had a weapon, hunting in the forest, I sat down, leaning against a large Ponderosa, hoping that NO animal would appear and I would be faced with a despicable decision. No unfortunate creature ever appeared. As I sat against the tree, eventually I couldn't determine if I was breathing the tree or if it was breathing me. A question arose in the flow of my consciousness, "Why Kill?" I answered myself immediately.
Fast forward many years to Western Oregon. Under the night sky, contemplating the COSMOS, I looked toward the ground under my feet and saw a nightcrawler worm. Immediately, from the flow of my consciousness, a question again arose. "What makes my life anymore intrinsically valuable than that of the worm at my feet compared to OUR places in the COSMOS?" It Isn't! -- Life is interdependent, period.
I have no real way of knowing who you are, or how these posts are developed, but I believe that the Buddhist insights you bring forward
are accurate and valuable. You sometimes mention or quote Tich Nhat Hahn, who I consider as Thay. I have several of his books and have listened to many of his teaching videos and Dharma talks, via Plum Village. I find nothing that seems to be inconsisten in your productions.
Keep up the good work and, hopefully, some of what warmth I have can be passed along in continuation.
Thank You.
