  You didnt show 5....Be7 as the most played and logical move, white is slightly worse there

  So I wrote the book on the Belgrade Gambit back in 1996. &nbsp;The Complete Guide to the Belgrade Gambit. &nbsp;Incidentally that piece sacrifice you said ‘inspired’ you to do this video showed two of my games on the Lichess site. &nbsp;Just one of many innovations. &nbsp;I have been playing this gambit since the mid 1980s (back when &nbsp;purists would condemn me for playing “dubious” openings that “violate opening principles.” &nbsp;I have always argued that the Belgrade is not only completely sound (against any line) but it is deceptively dangerous, even in the so-called “easy equality” lines with 5…Be7. &nbsp;Also, the Belgrade is actually a positional gambit that often produces endgames that are better for white even a pawn down in many cases. &nbsp;Sure if black wants to start grabbing “free” pawns he is welcome to do so! &nbsp;Anyway, great video. &nbsp;I seriously need to do a second edition to my book. &nbsp;Daniel Naroditsky beating both Magnus and Hilary (twice) is also good advertisement! &nbsp;Cheers.
