  I like how the first wizard shown is Gandalf, who has a sword, and then he immediately says that wizards don't have swords.

  No mage has ever used a sword, except Gandalf who is THE wizard. Oh and d&d school of blade singing and pathfinder magus and many many others

  Idea, beat blade and sorcery with only your hands, things like grabbing, throwing, and slamming are allowed, you dont just need to punch. Environmental items are allowed to like putting people on hooks and slamming people with chairs.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDxIFAg3YaU&amp;t=1847">30:47</a> actually they do canonically require external resources, those being the Crystal Shards that Sorcerers must consume to fuel their magic. (That is what Shards are canonically for btw; they are also extremely addictive)
