I splurged on the brass and stainless nibs two years ago, pairing them with the Tachikawa Comic Pen nib holder. I absolutely love writing with the stainless more than the brass; it has more consistency in its ink flow. Great video! Thanks for posting!

I was fully ready to splurge for the copper bullet nib, but all the comparison reviews I’ve seen prove the stainless to be the optimal choice (between the bullet nibs) in regard to how it lays ink down, and ink retention. Good video!

I have the stainless steel nib and the pen nib, and they're magnificent. I love writing with them. ❤

So far, the biggest dip pen I have is medium and its good for experimenting with and testing inks. the glass dip pen also feels like the grooves really just really good at keeping that ink and you'll be surprised how much on can go if you simply just turn it over and let another groove full of ink seep down to the tip.

Thank you for the video I was considering if the Kakimori pens are for me or not which now answered my questions about it... also nice to see a normal thumbnail than the ones with the open mouths... didn't this American trend past already

I have a steel nib and a brass nib. They are very good for sketching, and as you can vary the line thickness, they can replace several fineliner style pens. Also you do not discard them into land fill because they run out of ink. You do need to read the instructions about dipping it in water before you start using it. The brass nib gets hotter faster if you are sketching outside in the sun, which means the ink can dry faster, causing clogging, and you need to keep it moist. Especially with undiluted sumi ink. The stainless steel nib does not get hot so fast and the ink wont dry as fast. It is only hot here, so I am not sure what would happen if you used them outdoors in colder weather, I suspect the brass would get colder faster which could affect ink flow. I doubt you would notice if you use them indoors. I carry the nibs in a 30ml Nalgene bottle, with a piece of folded cardboard inside to keep them apart. A 30ml Nalgene bottle also make a useful inkwell to carry around, the Kakimori nibs fit perfectly into the little 30ml bottle. Tachikawa also sell a nice Japanese wooden nib holder that is more cost effective than the Kakimori holder. Thankyou for this review.

Good video, good information. I don't know if you are aware of the fact that your sentence melody is a bit repetitive.
