  Great vid! Thank you. One thing I like to do  is, while the drain plug is off, pour some fresh fluid in the fill hole to help flush out the old oil/residue. I do this with oil changes also. I don't waste a lot, but you'd be surprised at how much darker oil can be removed when doing this. That being said, frequent changes negates the need.

  First time working on a 2017  Land Cruiser that lived its life in California so the undercarriage is pristine. Even so, I could not get the grounding strap clip to release from the transfer case protective cover and I was not about to tweek on it a ton in fear of breaking the clip. I took an 11 inch zip tie and tied the protective cover off to the exhaust pipe directly to the left. There was enough play on the grounding strap to enable me to do that. I had plenty of room to drain and fill the transfer case fluid.

  when i changed the transfer case seal on my 2000 all wheel drive land cruiser ,when i turn the rear wheel jamming or lagging when i go straight it goes fine . do you know what could be the problem

  I did my too, what did engines thinking  they bolt on with 7 bolts - is is in much better to do the steel place from side to side?

  What’s the trick to remove the clip?  It’s stuck and I’m sure it’s user error on my part.  Do I slide a tiny screw drive in between the little tab and the metal arm?  Or do I slide it outside of the tab to depress it closer to the arm?

  o what ever you do do not service transmission yourself on this rigs.  Some do but consequences are too grate.
