The scene of the guards talking about Meryl and Gray Fox IS in MGS1. It plays if you sneak in via the upper floor vents, rather than the lower floor vents.

I never realized the DGN's DARPA Chief was played by the same VA as Sigint. That is so cool!

I really would've liked these Graphic Novels if they were to Adapt the 2 MSX Metal Gear Games into a Story-Driven Format with a lot of Creative Freedom since the Games ever Hardly tell a Story due to Technical Hardware Limitations.

In PS1 MGS1's Meryl ending, Otacon doesn't die because President Solidus cancels the nuking after the normal bombing weakened the roof and Snake asks Colonel to send a rescue team to save Otacon.

I think the MGS2 DGN and Snake Tales are both a veiled reference to how in the Japanese version of MGS2, Olga has the same VA as Meryl, so it is implied she slightly reminded Snake of Meryl.

Considering Wood did PO and PW too, they really ought to do another set for them or at least do a printing run

It was okay and even though it was part game, part artistry interpretation, I personally enjoy it. Honestly I would rather see Metal Gear in anime format with a mix of Akira, DragonBall Z, Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, and Ghost in the Shell. It would be as follows for the season format with 25-30 episodes each faithful to the games:
S1-Virtuous Mission/Operation Snake Eater
S2-San Hieronmyo Incident
S3-Peace Walker
S4-Ground Zeroes/The Phantom Pain
S5-The Outer Heaven Uprising
S6-The Zanzibarland Riot
S7-Shadow Moses Conspiracy
S8-Tanker/Big Shell Incident
S9-Guns of the Patriots

If they ever do an MSG2 remake I hope they work in some of these changes. Stillman getting one over on Fatman. Snake having a more active role we get to see, including a CQC battle between him and Vamp. The interactions between Ocelot and The Sorrow. Snake and Raiden facing off against Solidus together. Honestly all these would make for great changes to a remake, although I do think Raiden should land the final blow against Solidus because of their history

I know at the time they probably didn’t think of this. But, if ocelot worked for the patriots and the darpa chief was one of the patriots I’m surprised that was never mentioned afterwards with ocelot torturing him and everything
