How long does a bamboo construction typically last when it's untreated? I'm asking because I'm curious because I noticed this care isn't shown in your videos.
I really enjoy your work and follow your videos, but I'd like to understand better: are these constructions truly built for long-term use, or do they also serve a more scenographic and entertainment purpose?
I'm Brazilian, from the Campinas region of São Paulo. I was a bricklayer and worked extensively with concrete, iron, bricks, and foundations, so I'm used to observing these details. Perhaps there are techniques I'm unaware of that explain this construction method.
My question is sincere: does bamboo really not need treatment under these conditions? Or are these structures designed to last only a certain period?
Congratulations on your work and, above all, take care. I wish you much success!
