  This song will always be my favorite Tool song, and possibly my favorite song, but for a very personal reason. &nbsp;My youngest was non-verbal for 4 1/2 years, but he loved listening to music. &nbsp;And yes, at 4 1/2 years he <b>LOVED</b> Tool. &nbsp;<b>THIS</b> song was one of his favorites, and it was one of the first things he started to talk about. &nbsp;He would ask us to listen to &quot;pieces fit&quot; because he didn&apos;t know what the song was called, but he knew those two words from it so he would go to my wife and say &quot;mommy, pieces fit?&quot; or come to me and say &quot;daddy, pieces fit?&quot; &nbsp;So of course we would play it for him and he would listen to it intently and smile. &nbsp;Of course he is now 11 and never shuts the <b>****</b> up. 🤣 &nbsp;And yes, he still loves Tool!

  Fun fact: that first ~30 seconds is not actually from &quot;Schism&quot;, but from the album&apos;s preceding track, &quot;Mantra&quot;, which was a slowed down recording of Maynard&apos;s cat purring.

  I consider this a a much more important piece of art than many give it credit for. &nbsp;Not only is it artistically and musically elite, the entire message is literally the playbook for repairing relationships. &nbsp;It&apos;s a technically, &nbsp;artistically, and psychologically brilliant piece.

  You understood the message. Communication between two people in a relationship is 50/50 or in this case 6/6. The 5/7 represents the unbalanced communication, and that terrible feeling in a relationship that the total is the same (12) but the numbers aren&apos;t adding up

  &quot;Musically compelling&quot; &quot;Artistically attractive&quot;. That&apos;s so funny, I&apos;ve heard people who don&apos;t love Tool, but respect their musicianship, try to describe it that way so often😅. It took a musical intellectual to phrase it perfectly. And I get it, that type of art either resonates with you or it doesn&apos;t. It sets my soul ablaze 🤘🏼. Awesome breakdown.

  It&apos;s hard for a musician to not &quot;think&quot; Tool on the first few listens, but I think the music is even more rewarding when we can stop counting and just &quot;feel&quot; it : )
