Tim's back probing technique is underrated — so many people damage connectors by probing the wrong way. For anyone doing systematic electrical diagnosis like this, I've been logging faults and fixes in Trackara. Being able to look back and see 'I tested this circuit 8 months ago and found X' saves so much time when the same gremlin shows back up.

you skipped over the critical items. 1. do you disconnect the battery for continuity tests ? 2. how do you know where the far end of the wire you are testing goes (tracing)
