One reporter who was there later wrote (and I para-phrase) that "when Led Zeppelin split in 1980 they were the greatest rock band in the world. When they left this stage at the O2 Arena in 2007 they were STILL the greatest rock band in the world"!

The keyboardist IS the bassist. Mandolin too. Along with other things. JPJ, one of the most under-rated god-tier artists of all time.

Yes, John Bonham did the original drums for the track. In this Celebration Day concert the drummer is JASON Bonham, John's son. (John Paul Jones is playing the bass tones on foot pedals and keys simultaneously. He does play a stringed bass in songs with no keys)

20 million people tried to reserve tickets to this concert that held 18-20 thousand people. It is a record that still stands today. There is Led Zeppelin and then there is everyone else.

John Paul Jones, the keyboardist here, is one of the great bass guitar players. Here, for live necessity, he plays bass pedals with his feet.

Kashmir was released in 1975. Celebration Day was in 2007, it was released in 2012. Jimmy was 63, Robert was 59 and John Paul Jones was 61. When JPJ is on keys, he uses the bass pedals to play. At the Celebration Day interview, Robert Plant said he wishes they were known for Kashmir instead of Stairway to Heaven. LED ZEP is a masterpiece. LZ gave you something different everytime you listen to them and it's always an amazing. They were true master musicians, as well as masters in engineering and production!! A great Rabbit Hole to go down! Black Dog!! Ramble On!! When the Levee Breaks!! Soooo many to choose from!! You really just need to start with LZ I and react to each song, then go to LZ II, etc, etc! It's the only way to get truly fulfilled!!

John Paul Jones, Zep's bassist and keyboard player, was the son of a professional 'big band' pianist and arranger. He began playing piano from the age of six, and became a church organist at 14, before buying his first bass guitar.
Since church (and similar) organs have multiple keyboards and multiple 'voices' set by 'stops', and a pedalboard for playing bass notes, Jones' also used bass pedals (unusual in a rock setting) in Zeppelin when the song required keyboards. Prior to Zeppelin's formation he had been a prolific session musician on both keyboards and bass guitar.
