Great book! So much information about Luther and the 15th and 16th centuries. I didn’t realize this period was a Theocracy. I love history and will be looking for more books during this period. Bad morals always follow bad theology and God allowed a period where Luther could see through the wind. The wind is blowing hard now, 2018, please pray. Pray that God will allow the wind to die down and He will raise up another Luther to reform our churches! Kudos to Metaxas he is not afraid in print, radio, speaking and interviews to be a voice through the wind. Buy this book!

When I first heard him I did cringe a bit. But the more you listen and understand his heart the more you get to love him. He sounds like someone that could write Vegie Tales! I will gladly read his books.

Eric is a total hoot. Love it. He's quick firing, kinda like Don Rickles in his prime, only Eric's a lot nicer, a lot lot nicer.

(<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4AkaSlpEng&t=1917">31:57</a>) Ironic that the emperor-esque papacy that wanted to embrass him, ended up giving him the largest platform.

And the ritual of Lent and eating fish on Friday is still observed although there is no reference in the Bible.
