The greatest thing about Ichiro is that he has never ever missed a game due to injury.

A player who could have played in any era. The fact he came over to MLB at age 27 and played 19 years in the majors and still got to 3000 hits with a career .311 average is just insane. Doesn’t even begin to account for the influence he had in Japan. Truly one of the all time greats.

When I was 19 years old, the first thing I bought with my first salary was a glove modeled after Ichiro's, which I had admired since I was a child. 18years later, I am still using that glove. Ichiro has always been my hero!

Ichiro’s comment about not being unanimous:

“I think it was great with Jeter in terms of numbers. People are missing a lot of things. Life is about pursuing one's own perfection and moving on. I like the idea of being imperfect. It is because we are imperfect that we are able to move forward in life, and it makes me think about that again. I think it was good that we could face that.”

Ohtani may be the future GOAT, but Ichiro will always be Japan’s heart and soul!

You will never convince me that Ichiro didn't purposely single for his 1000th hit, double for his 2000th and triple for his 3000th. Master Batsmith
