  On the topic of wearing merch: For me, the purpose of wearing merch from something I love is to make a connection with other people who love it or to start a conversation with someone about it. When a franchise/fandom/public figure starts to be associated with something that I don’t like/agree with, I find myself worried about alienating people when I wear it rather than looking forward to making connections. When it gets to that point, I don’t think it’s worth wearing anymore. I’ve retired a bunch of pieces of merch from my wardrobe for that reason, and I feel totally at peace about it ❤

  The trousers are great! The fun thing about bright colored trousers is that with a neutral top you look really put together! Also, my husband refuses to wear anything with a name or company out in public anymore. He says he doesn't want to be a billboard for anyone. I have a few I still love, but they are more kitschy.

  Hear me out.... What if you made your own Wicked &quot;merch&quot; just for you? And what if you dyed your leopard print fabric darker?<br>I&apos;ve been really getting into modifying existing clothes, and it&apos;s a super fun skill to have! <br>Also a good time to dye stuff is before you&apos;ve ever worn it, cause there&apos;s no risk of weird stains showing up, and before you&apos;ve sewn it so you don&apos;t have to worry about shrinkage or thread not matching

  I bought two dresses second hand recently (having not bought anything for a while) and experienced that classic &quot;oh this is the most PERFECT dress!&quot; dopamine hit, followed by a dip once i actually had them. Really reaffirmed to me that I get much more sustainable (ha!) joy from making something, like 1 month of gradual joy rather than one fast hit that fades quickly

  You can always make a fabric patch for the Amanda Palmer tee!! To make it an undo-able alteration you could always pin it or use a basting stitch!
