  When my son was little, he loved the T.V show "Finding Bigfoot." I found that they were going to tape an episode in South Carolina and got both of us in the audience. I had never heard of sightings or encounters in South Carolina before we attended the meeting. There were stories from both the upstate and the low country. There are some very inaccessible swampy areas in the lower part of the state and several people came to tell their stories. The crew ended up investigating both the mountainous region and the swamps.

  Your advice saved saved me and my daughter from a 2am camp raid by a couple of thieves this weekend! I started following you a few years ago when you mainly did hiking/camping videos. <br>You&apos;d told the story of what you thought might&apos;ve been a mountain lion creeping around your camp at night and that you used a marine storm whistle to scare it away. Well, I was just starting to backpack and was gathering info on smart gear choices, so I got the storm whistle. <br>I&apos;ll keep the story short here and email it to you this week, but basically I ended up with a strange man about a foot away from my face outside my tent at 2 am, did what you said and covered my ears, took a deep breath and blew the storm whistle as hard as a could manage. The guy and the other person ran away and my daughter and I packed up out things and hid in the bathroom that had a deadbolt till daylight whrn we started the 17 mile walk home. Your experience and advice is really helpful! Thank you so much!<br><br>P.S.<br>I do have a childhood bigfoot story I can send in with this weekends story. And I did call the ranger station to let them know there might be people hiding in the hills rading campers while they&apos;re asleep. They contacted the BLM police and sheriffs department to look patrol the campgrounds and look into it.

  When I was about 13,, my younger sister and I were home alone. &nbsp;Mom worked second shift. &nbsp;We had a neighbor lady we could always turn to if we needed help. &nbsp;We were watching TV when we both noticed a face in the kitchen window. &nbsp;We called the police and they came out but didn&apos;t believe us. &nbsp;They looked around, couldn&apos;t see anything or anybody so they just told us we imagined it because no one was tall enough to see in there. &nbsp;We went to the neighbor&apos;s anyway till Mom got home. &nbsp;The next day in school I overheard two brothers bragging that one had stood on the other&apos;s shoulders to see in the window at us!! &nbsp;So it was not a Bigfoot, BUT we didn&apos;t imagine it!! &nbsp;Cops had trouble believing two scared teens. &nbsp;Love your story as always. &nbsp;I look forward to your stories all week.

  Been wracking my brain trying to figure out how to put into words why Chris is so good at these videos. I think I finally did. There is a difference between a “read” story, and a “told” story. Chris is a story teller of the first order. He pulls the witness accounts off the dead page and brings them to life, but in a down-to-earth humble sort of way; and he does it without guile or manipulating the facts. Plus, he comes off as a genuinely goodhearted guy. Anyway, that’s my take.

  That would absolutely terrify me that it was so close it was looking at her in the kitchen window. It&apos;s different if it&apos;s way out in the woods-that&apos;s scary enough as it is, but then just to come right up to your house and be like, &quot;yo wassup?&quot;.... I&apos;m out.

  I grew up in Fouke, Arkansas in the 1970’s. We never left curtains open. To this day I still don’t. &nbsp;You don’t know how horrible it is until it happens to you.
