  I didn’t expect to relate to her this season. The feeling of being left out by people who you thought you were friends with, being the floater friend, being too much. damn i wasn’t expecting that

  it's funny how when writers write complex characters with their own struggles and issues and their own bad behavior, people are quick to hate the character when in reality, the characters mirror real people. nobody is black and white good and evil, we're all a mix in between

  If Max were to genuinely leave the group, it would fall apart sooner rather than later. Groups like this need a scapegoat to function. When their scapegoat leaves, they find a new one within the group. Soon enough it’ll get whittled down to two people being “best friends” and no longer a group.

  Max was right, they were actively excluding her, not talking to her and not inviting her to things but when she brought it up they act like she's the problem. Ultimately they gave her 2 choices 1) keep quiet about what we are doing to you and silently disappear or 2) speak up about what we're doing  to you so we can use that as a reason to cut you off. The whole season I was thinkinging she should pick the third option, stop talking to them and leave on her terms.

  The second I realized that I was the last choice/placeholder friend in my friend group. I disappeared, became more private, and didn't come out of my shell again until I found new better friends. The distance between my old friends and me continued to increase even when they noticed and asked me to rejoin the circle. I just kindly curved them and leaned into healthier friendships. Because group one was the same group that only included me when it was convenient for them and hurled insults at me like it was a sport.

  "too much" is bad friends' rephrasing of "not worth it to me" in a way that doesn't require them to take responsibility

  Honestly being left out by a group of people that you love is traumatizing. I always second guess myself and doubting my friends when they say they’re busy because “are they really busy or are they just avoiding me”

  I have always been told that I&apos;m too sensitive, dramatic or am overreacting. I have been iced out of whole groups.

  I feel like calling anyone &quot;dramatic&quot; for any reason generally means you haven&apos;t ever taken the time to understand how they feel and you just want to dismiss their frustrations and outbursts
