  My mom had an encounter in the 80s in a Dallas Airport where a guy in a security officer&apos;s uniform came up real close behind her and tell her the same thing that Brudos did saying she was seen shoplifting. &nbsp;she was in an empty hallway because there was already a murder that happened a few weeks before, and she started yelling when he said she was seen shoplifting people turned to see what was up, guy got nervous and ran off stammering that he needed to talk to his supervisor and bolting down an empty stairwell.

  Kris you should cover the case of Madam LaLaurie AKA Marie Delphine Macarty. She was a New Orleans socialite in the 1800’s and one of the first female serial killers in America who was believed to have tortured and murdered slaves in her household. It’s a really gruesome case that has a lot of holes in it and I very rarely see it covered. New Orleans always had a different way of treating enslaved people compared to most of the US and LaLaurie was seen to be generally &quot;polite&quot; to people of color in public but in her house it was a torture chamber. She was initially discovered when her house caught fire where they found a 70-year-old slave chained to the stove by her ankle. The slave had set the fire as a suicide attempt because she feared being punished, stating that slaves taken to the uppermost room &quot;never came back&quot;.<br><br>It’s absolute revolting what she did and I hope all who were affected by her are resting in peace.
