I remembered the days when I took the entrance exams for military and police schools in Turkey. We went through almost the same processes, so this documentary didn’t feel unfamiliar to me.”

That’s several years old now… You can see it at the wall of the C.S.I. at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtMsHe2_W_w&t=1308">21:48</a>. It changed in 2022, regimental sign of G.R.L.E. (Groupement Recrutement...) was added. 2024 or early 2025 it changed again. The old sign (flag) was removend and the company sign of the C.R.L.E. was added. The name at the wall is no longer "Centre de selection et incorporation" (C.S.I.) but "Compagnie de recrutement de la Legion etrangere" (C.R.L.E.). And the platoon leader at the farm, Adjudant ‘Stephane’, a German, is now Adjudant-Chef and has left 4e R.E./ Castelnaudary since years and serves now at G.R.L.E. I met him summer 2025 and had a few beers with him.

I went through 3rd company basic training at the same farm. It was tough but i made it through into 2nd para the elite of the legion. Matricule 201427 caporal nesbit
