I like the second person narration. Now Jacob Collier has to comment here to make the cycle complete.

Next level: get the audience to sing microtonally. 😅

That Bobby Mcferrin's pentatonic deomnstration really blew my mind at the time. Such a reminder how intuitive intervals are even for non-musicians. I wonder what Jacob's audience sound like in other cultures. For example, in arab/turkish countries will we get maqams?

I am a non music person. I just stumbled upon one of Jacob’s audience videos and as 40 y/o man, I’ve never had music make me feel that emotional. I really enjoyed your explanation of what exactly he was doing.

I was a part of his choir audience a year ago in Jakarta, Indonesia, such a magical and emotional experience, there is nothing quite like it. He took it a step further when we started a choir of noises of the jungle, there were bird chirps, monkey noises, snake hisses, just about anything you could think of, and it makes you wonder just how much humans long to be together, as one. The audience was wonderful, people naturally started harmonizing to the melodies, as I did too. You go out of the show thinking, wow, we really did that, a gathering of normal people that enjoy Jacob Collier

why does choir music make me cry. gregorian chants and bulgarian folk choir just do it for me. there is just something amazingly unifying about the whole experience of human voices

The writing of this…the narration, is really exceptional here. Clear storytelling and an explanation of music that those of us who don’t know music can dive into easily. Thanks!

I stumbled upon Jacob's duet with Chris Martin and seeing his ability to, for lack of a better word, "shepherd" the audience's singing was amazing. No drums, no guitar, just Jacob, Chris, a piano and the audience, singing at its minimum.

Despite this rrrrrrrrrrrrrrreally great explanation from a non-musician I can't help tearing up when I see/hear what he/they do together...
