Uma Casa Renovada, Sem Apagar Sua História

Photos: Denilson Machado (@denilsonmachadomca) / Press Release This residential architecture project arose from the challenge of transforming a house originally designed for a childless couple into a complete home for Ana Weege's family of four, plus their dog and staff, without losing its essence and existing architectural characteristics. The project's goal was to preserve the original architecture of the residence while completely updating its spaces to meet the family's contemporary needs, combining aesthetics, functionality, comfort, technology, and personality. One of the highlights is the upper floor, which was completely redesigned. The bedroom floor gained a new configuration to accommodate the family's dynamics, with suites, closets, and bathrooms designed to offer more privacy, comfort, and functionality. The project includes spaces such as an entrance hall, living room, TV room, office, wine cellar, dining room, kitchen, pantry, china cabinet, gourmet area, pizza area, gym, guest suite and daughters' suites, in addition to the master suite with walk-in closets and master bathroom. The transformation involved much more than an aesthetic update. The residence presented significant infrastructure challenges, including the absence of an air conditioning system, the need to update the electrical and plumbing installations, lack of adequate roof support structure, an unheated pool, no jacuzzi, no gourmet area, no covered garage, and spaces with functional layouts. The renovation also incorporated home automation, an air conditioning system, electrical and plumbing upgrades, security solutions, landscaping, and a complete revitalization of the pool, as well as the creation of a new gourmet space. The result is a house that respects its history and original architecture, but now meets the needs of a contemporary family. Another element that makes the project special is the design curation and the family's own collection, incorporated into the spaces to create a residence with identity, memory, and personality. More than just renovating a house, the project sought to preserve its essence and transform its spaces for a new phase in the family's life. The project started as a blog in 2008, born from my passion for decorating spaces, when I was setting up my first home. With time and a lot of dedication, Casa de Valentina grew, took shape, and matured. I received invitations to write articles for leading magazines in the field, I was featured on a magazine cover, and we earned the title of the most influential design and décor blog in Latin America.
