What fascinated me most wasn't the radio itself—it was the realization that the real breakthrough was eliminating delays. FM, quartz crystals, and decentralized command only mattered because they let a lieutenant turn information into artillery fire almost instantly. Do you think that communications network was America's greatest hidden advantage of WWII?

Earlier videos said Germans were communicating between tanks with flags.

Before the end of the war, quartz crystals were also being mined in Ontario, Canada.

German AM radios could hear FM signals by slope detection into AM demodulation but still had noisy content.

Wehrmacht, not Vermont 0:27 in the on-screen captions.

At 25:00 we hear the Germans were cut off from Brazilian courts. That baffled me - was Brazil trying to bring law and order into the war? Then I realized it was supposed to be Brazilian quartz. 2. Why do the presenters of these WW2 videos fail to do simple proofreading?

RCA head David Sarnoff was a crook. Not only did he interfere with the adoption of FM in commercial radio; he stole the rights to television from its inventor Phil Farnsworth.

How is a 1922 dated document fit in here? Why subject the view to all the poor quality images? How does the USN fit into this getting taller tale? The Vietnam aera M113 APC just broke my camel's back. This is a train wreck.
