  If we are being real, making a top 50 anime of all time list is painfully hard. Hooowever, i think we can all agree that not having the big 3 in such a list is an insult to every other anime watcher ever.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhdxTL8aPfg&amp;t=1096">18:16</a> y’all need to watch Utena. It’s legit an amazing and influential anime. You’ll watch it and suddenly realize so many other things are referencing it. (Including stuff like She-Ra, and Steven Universe)

  Honestly, if they had made this into a &quot;hidden gems&quot; or &quot;oldies but goodies&quot; list, and excluded the most popular stuff, I don&apos;t think this is that bad of a list. Revolutionary Girl Utena is great, Kaiba is a trip, etc. You can&apos;t even say &quot;it&apos;s just shoujo&quot; or &quot;fake fan&quot;, there are some real deep cuts here. Seems to have been made by an elder weeb with some prescription grade rose tinted glasses, &nbsp;though...

  To be fair, Revolutionary Girl Utena is not just &quot;a shojo&quot;, Utena walked so Madoka could run... and even then, Madoka don&apos;t win the race not even for a mile. - &nbsp;That said, I wouldn&apos;t put neither of them as high, probably in the twenties or so.

  I&apos;m not mad at mob psycho being number 1 because it really captured a magical sort of real fear and anxiety of just getting up and life and everything while also being beautifully animated, full of cool fights, and goofy gags and everything else.

  You&apos;ve never heard of Utena? That means you&apos;re young. Utena was GENUINELY groundbreaking. Paranoia Agent is definitely top tier.
