To ever say or suggest that Prince Philip had a lack of identity is an insult towards his intellect, his consciousness as well as his manhood. His life in his youthful manhood had certain issues and tragedies to be sure.Yet he at that point had his code to live by. He being steadfastly loyal to his wife, his Queen, to his adopted nationality speaks to his true nature and codes of honor.

The saddest thing Prince Philip had to do, but also a testiment to his humour and knack for self-deprecation, was writing in a guest book as a teenager: Prince Philip of no Fixed Address.

it hurts to see these old videos and photo, everyone was so young, full of life and now they are all dead or old...this era was completely diferent compared to now, life is short..

Philip's interest in modern industry and updating the nation was strikingly like Albert's, such as with the Crystal Palace. 100 years apart but the outsider the UK didn't know it needed? I think Charles is very much in that same mold, but not an outsider. We can't yet know what he will do with his challenges as king.

I was 2 times in Mon Repos palace in Corfu. Beautiful place although the Empress Sisi 's Achilleion is much much more beautiful! The door which leads to the place where he was born on a kitchen table was closed.
