0:57 it actually reminds me a lot of Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga underground surroundings theme

I like the gba version of this game because it has a new mode (when the game was beaten) where the player must have to find all the Yoshi eggs

I actually stumbled upon the Satellaview rom way back in the day as a kid. I vividly remember being mystified by the character portraits randomly appearing on-screen with the talking animations and whatnot. At the time I had no idea what the Satellaview even was, and why there was no music or voices. The little golden Mario statues of course were also a defining feature of that Mario USA version. I'm sure it was amazing with the intended radio service.

The Satellaview has always fascinated me, and Did You Know Gaming did an excellent video detailing its story recently. I highly recommend checking it out.

I never knew about that unused SMB underground remix in the beta. They should use that in Mario Maker 3 if it gets a SMB2 theme.

At least the underground theme was used later in SMB3. And when I played the GBA version, I was surprised to see Birdo not get hit by the ribbon, but return to her head normally.

The star one-hitting Birdo is like hitting the Naval Piranha in "Yoshi's Island" with an egg before the battle 😂

I have never heard of double jumping in smb2 until now

2:10 I've known about this Easter Egg for years. For some reason, I always thought there was an extra step I missed.
Like you need to take the bow somewhere for a reward.

On that note, anyone else remember the "Unlockable Yoshi" hoax for the GBA version?

I absolutely love the GBA version. It's like the farthest thing away from the original Doki Doki Panic game, like they finally turned it into a whole different game, it's own thing
