I started writing in Rust, because the executable is smaller and harder to decompile.
I come from Delphi, with an application still in production, and 31 MB of disk space and 26 MB of RAM, managing 190 tables ... no Framework, no drivers ... just run ...
For AI, Rust is more of a pain, but the detailed error messages help me fix it
Peace!

Rust specifically CAN panic at runtime. There are also project that explicitly use this to throw/catch, until they try and work on a platform that doesn't have stack unwinding.

For now, I'm still using Go for my work. For some reason, I still find it too difficult to learn Rust. Maybe you guys can give me some advice on how easy to learn Rust?

Go has an unmistakably better tradeoffs. 1 easy to use 2. Predictable, very good performance
Rust is 1. Hard af to use, might even be harder than just using c++. 2. Compile times are riddiculous due to dependency chains and cargo nonsense. 3. Performance is great but not better than you get with C or c++. Is the learning curve for the borrower worse than the learning curve for proper memory management? I don’t think so.

i absolutely love cargo, its one of the main reasons ive been using rust a lot lately.

It’s 2026, not 1996. I don’t want to be thinking about memory management, or borrow/move semantics, or object lifetimes. Or objects.

I just want to solve a problem, leverage modem multi core parallelism easily, with easy maintainable code.

So I chose Go.

Rust feels like it tries to be a better C++, but C++ was broken from the outset.

You super-car analogy is so backwards but I understand what you're getting at. A Lambo is not easy to drive if you are tall it's so hard to even get inside of it. The driving position is so low down, etc, etc.

Everything I say everything will be rewritten in Rust…

Good video but this felt more of a Rust biased video. Any "negative" for Rust you kinda gave an explanation for it or explained it away. Not bad per se but I thought it would be a more even handed comparison of the 2.
