  I remember watching this on TV. I was 7 years old. Two great champions RIP both.

  Ali wanted no revenge Henry Cooper. Cooper was ill, with a heart condition. Ali kept him up. Henry Cooper said after the fight, not only is a great champion, he's a great man. Ali visited him privately in the hospital.

  The first Ali/Cooper fight was my introduction to boxing as a ten year old, and I became a life long fan of the sport, and have watched nearly every heavyweight title fight ever since. It was a shame Cooper was prone to cutting, because he was a very competent fighter.

  People often talk about Henry&apos;s left hook as if that&apos;s all he had to offer. In reality he was quick and had high level boxing skills.

  Ali was the guest of honour at the televised 60th birthday party of Henry and his twin brother.<br>Given a chance to speak, Ali said he believed Cooper would have won that first fight. Of course, he was being gracious and many years had passed. These fights are wonderful watching now.

  Our ‘Enry showed how it’s done. That short twisting shot had just the right amount of power and angle to do what was needed.

  .<br>As a stratigist, no one till this day managed to match Ali&apos;s technique. He wasn&apos;t s hard puncher, but he was the smartest boxer ever lived.

  Ali was always respectful of Cooper joking Henry hit him so hard &quot;it shook my kinfolk back in Africa.&quot; Ali always had a real affecting for Cooper who was a genuine warrior.
