No matter what any of her ex-husbands put her through, the mistrust, the running around on her, the lies... no matter that the IRS conviscated everything she had right down to her socks literally, she handled everything with maturity, not petty arguments, blame games, etc. She was one true classy lady. She always had class and self respect and lots of dignity and kept her head held high and took reponsibility for her own mistakes. I have always admired these things about her.

Michelle Lee did a good job of presenting a disturbing Dottie.
She needed help from her abused childhood…from her drinking…from her men…from her spending addiction, etc.

Such a talented woman.😢

The courage she showed at age 17 to take it upon herself to report her father’s abuses. Particularly in that day and time, it’s just astounding. I bet the fact that she was going to be leaving for music college and not able to protect her siblings prompted it.

That was my dad's 59' Cadillac in that scene where Dottie West observes Patsy Cline arriving in, and getting out of, the pearl white 1959 Cadillac, in front of the Ryman auditorium.

Off topic of the movie: I love seeing the old commercials & seeing yesterday's celebs in them. So different than what we see today.

forever my hero. She literally gave untill the end. I loved how all her friends big name stars tribute to her in their own words from their own hearts.

This is such a sad movie. Dottie seemed so loving and very talented and caring lady. Heartbreaking how her life ended so young.

I'll never forget the night that Dottie bought me a beer at the fireman's field days up in Hannibal New york.
