An incomprehensible loss for America and the West. His murderer robbed America's youth of a friend and ally, who would give them hope and opportunity. The same people who celebrated his death in their youth will come to mourn him when they grow up and experience the world as it is, and not the fantasy they wish it to be. Rest easy Charlie.

I have been avoiding watching Charlie clips since he passed so when I clicked on this and heard not only his gentle voice but his response to taking responsibility for being a leader and role model it made me tear up all over again. He was truly just getting started, he was going to make the world a better place and everyone who watched him and everyone who knew him, knew that.

Charlie was an honourable man, a gentleman, and a Christian. But he followed a Man who the world nailed to a cross. So it was not surprising the world has hated him, too. It's a genuine honour to be hated in this way. One is in the best of company.
