  I remember my stepsister was approached to be on this. They told her it was a series about young people on their first holidays abroad. After a few meetings with the production team they essentially turned round and told them what the show really was and that they were too boring to take part because “all they’d do is sit in the hotel playing snap” 😭

  I would never forgive my parents if they did this to me when I was a teenager or young adult. And no. It’s not normal to call yourself “mommy” To your adult child. That mother treats that girl like a toddler.

  It always annoys me when the parents on this show are annoyed about the kids doing things like drinking and pole dancing instead of like….being really disrespectful to women

  I recently found out my mum periodically followed me to university several hours away from her home and would just...hang out in the town a couple blocks away in case I needed her? I had a lot of chronic health issues, granted, and was in the dorms, but thankfully a couple months in she realised I was doing fine and hadn&apos;t needed her at all in that time so she gave up.

  This is weird as hell, Cam is correct in identifying that the daughter probably has a lot of trauma from her mom’s constant surveillance…I feel really bad for her, because she’s spent her whole life not being allowed to be independent, and not getting to learn how to function without her mother. And now, because of this show, her mom is probably going to be even more controlling, and additionally she suddenly has to learn everything her parents never taught her at once because of her mother’s sudden “epiphany”.
