Just to be clear, I grew up with most of these and loved them. The idea behind the video is that none of them would be allowed on television today because of how advertising rules have changed, and also how the world and younger generations are. Thank you for watching :_Heart:

I would sooner have those adverts now than the drivel we are bombarded with now. Funeral plans etc, start watching a programme and instantly the adverts come on advertising funeral plans 😡 <br>Really there is no need

‘Cowboy’ style toy guns were common and normal at the time. Western films were still popular.

Loved those adverts, they were mostly good innocent fun, entertaining and advertising too, not to be taken too seriously. Today it feels like we have ruled the fun out of almost everything !

The point you are missing is that nobody took the adverts seriously. Today our adverts are for “Pure cremation, over 50s insurance, sanitary products, or Domino’s Pizza “ none of which I have any intention of purchasing.
