North Georgia resident my entire life and I never even read where they listed them as extinct in the Appalachian mountains. They've always been around.

I live on the edge of the smokies... and recently saw a 6" cat paw print in mud on my drive... we regularly are visited by bear and other critters, but have not expected to have cats as theys a different type of menace.<br>Thanks for this video.

Seen one in Northern Kentucky years ago. There was 5 or 6 of us. We couldn't believe it. It was back in the 80's.

I could tell it was a Cougar with the white mustache around the mouth, even when the picture is black and white. That indicator is ALWAYS a Cougar.

We have seen mountain lions around Jack’s river in Chatsworth Georgia so yes, there are mountain lions in the Appalachian mountains also
