The guy filming in Everything Must Go is the same guy filming in the movie intro. Everything Must Go takes place immediately before that!

Time is not linear in The Complex.

They didn't actually find the rooms, you must go back to 1972 when Ivan Beck had a vision of this place while a accident occured in his lab at the time due to a solar storm which caused a huge green blast which is shown in the episode "overflow". He spent the next 10 years obsessing with the idea of recreating or rediscovering this place he saw, he had another vision later on of another version of himself which some say represents the memories he lost and his eye that he also lost in the accident.

Then in 1982 he was hired by Async research institution as director of project KV31 and was the one who pitched the idea to the department of energy as a possible solution to the worlds storage and living crisis, which was before Async knew what this place really was.

After 5 failed tests, in 1989 they tested the Low Proximity Magnetic Distortion System (LPMDS) for 6th time and finaly rediscover the backrooms dimension that Beck had visioned.

This goes soo much deeper, but this is the tip of the iceberg.

1:30:13... The green light/lightning represents an "expansion event"... Which is how the Backrooms grows and form its creations.
Madison (what the community has named the lady from Found Footage 2) was in a very unstable area of the Backrooms, and found herself in the middle of an "expansion event".

The cardboard cutout in Found Footage 3 is actually not placed by A-Sync! This is the Backrooms remembering the cutout, which is really cool!

 50:48
The Concepts of the still life were made during the production for the backrooms movie (possibly around 2024), it was seen in the original script for the movie (the one where the bacteria was the antagonist).

The backrooms movie works as a standalone movie from the youtube series, however the youtube series does give some way needed context and different point of view on how the backrooms works and what's going on

In found footage #2 at the end, around 1hr30 in your video, just before the room fills up with green light, the walls begin to shift and move. The green light is the backrooms in a state of flux as it improves/copies/expands
