I grew up as a Seventh Day Adventist, They have their mini michna. For example, we could go on a nature walk but if we came across a stream, we could take off our shoes and wade in it but if we went in above our knees it was swimming and breaking the Sabbath so it was forbidden. No cooking so meals were prepared on Friday for the next day. No one could work on the Sabbath except if you were for example a nurse or other medical worker. But if you worked on the Sabbath as a medical worker, you had to donate your pay for that day to the church. Of course no TV or radio which meant that everyone sat around on Saturday before sundown looking at their watch waiting for the official sundown time to arrive so they could turn on TV. Believe me as a child growing up in this environment we did not find it restful and instead found it a burden.

Forgiving of self, when I see how my sinful life has affected my family, I cry, yes my Jesus has forgiven me, now I pray my family members will accept Christ and live with a bit of peace…

My best YouTube preacher🙏. Wonderful teaching, necessity beats legality. Humans make Christianity unnecessarily hard with rules that they forget the message of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Right now I need rest for my body and soul. Whether that's Saturday or Sunday! Rest was the key word.
