  About thirty-five years ago, I wanted to read the Bible as an adult. I read it. Guess what? After reading it I fell into almost every heresy that was ever defined. I had no clue until I started reading about heresy. It is so easy to connect all of the wrong ideas simply by reading the scriptures. Scripture needs to be taught by serious and competent authority. The best thing about that is that it saves so much time and effort. Get the new Ignatius Catholic Study Bible if you cannot find a great teacher. Read the Apostolic Fathers and the writings from the Ante-Nicene Period. They were living it!

  I never tire of hearing Dr. Bergsma’s well formed and articulated responses on various divisive and complex issues that are often the result of misinformation, misunderstanding, and even disinformation.  Thank you for sharing your talent and time - and for being courageous!

  Oh my God! The point where Dr Bergsma got emotional is the highlight of this beautiful interview. I got reduced to tears, knowing that no man is deserving of eternal life, but if Jesus Christ grants them such opportunity.

  We enter the life of a Christian disciple through repentance, faith, baptism in water and baptism in the Holy Spirit. We are then taught to obey everything that Jesus commanded, while growing in both the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit. Salvation is the whole of that life. .
