Mark, I was married to my high school sweetheart for 17 years. We had three sons. I thought everything was fine until I came home from work one day and the coward had moved out and left nothing that was his. No clothes, tools, anything. It was the hardest thing in my life. I made it and so will you. Lean on Erik. You will need to vent more than ever. He can be your support. Let us know how you are doing but take all of the time you need to get through this tough time. Oh, I forgot to say, I also lost 100 lbs. from stress. It is hard on everyone for sure. Stay busy. That helped me. After my husband left I had the cleanest house I have ever had! Take care.

Mark you are so lucky to have Erik as a friend. I got divorced after 24 years of marriage and discovered that what I thought were my friends were actually "His" friends. I was completely alone with no support. Bless you Erik for being the caring man that you are.

No one should ever plant bamboo unless they are able to keep it fully contained! I learned the hard way! Thankfully I had understanding neighbors. Mark, nothing any of us can say will help, but give yourself time ❤

Helping your friends talk through things is a sign of love. In my case I had to get rid of all my friends because they started telling what I need to do instead of just listening and just being there to support me
