  To be clear, mentioning who's the top and who's the bottom in the tags is not super common on AO3, it's just a nice thing that only some people remember or decide to do. All these numbers are most likely less than a tenth or even a hundredth of how many spicy fics there are of these characters in total. It also might be dependent per fandom, if certain relationships would have more focus on the roles.

  There's a BIG difference between being a "Top or Bottom" vs being a "Sub or Dom". You can be a bottom while being the dominant one of the pair. But Aizawa is DEFINITELY not a top. Thats too much effort for him.

  This is a bit of an 18+ comment, but it needs to be said. I don&apos;t think people understand the differences between top, bottom, sub, and dom, and I feel that is where a lot of their confusion is coming from. tops and bottoms (and vers) are really only terms used for queer relationships. Not necessarily always, there&apos;s exceptions and a lot of nuance with this, but ppl have gotta realize top is not equal do dom and bottom is not equal to sub. <br><br>For example, with the charlie and vaggi, during the song easy it is implied that vaggi is the one in charge of the dance; however, she guides charlie into being the leader of the dance. This, I feel and a lot of other people feel, implies that charlie is the top in the relationship (at least in this moment) but vaggi is more dom. It is implied that the dance is in place of something else that is actually happening in the story between the two characters. That is why a large portion of the fandom, at least those on AO3, see those characters that way.

  I think y&apos;all were evaluating Vaggie and Charlie by gay men&apos;s standards rather than lesbian women&apos;s standards. Charlie is the more masculine in the relationship in my opinion and is probably the giver most of the time but Vaggie is the dominant one, taking the lead and giving instructions.

  Lots of these ships are set up with the ‘more powerful’ person as the bottom and I feel like that’s not as surprising as the lads are thinking. <br>The powerful characters are often shipped with people who would be able to let them relax and feel safe/cared for.

  The biggest shock in this video is that <b>anyone</b> thinks that Vaggie exudes top energy. The second I saw the thumbnail I was like, &quot;Oh, Charlie tops. No question.&quot; I thought it was a given. 😂 Charlie is pathologically nice, but she has a much more assertive personality than Vaggie does. Vaggie is aggressive when she&apos;s defending someone, but otherwise she lets Charlie take the lead.

  Are you crazy?! Aizawa is a pillow princess and a pillow princess exclusively. Also I hate to break it to you but Ao3 was NOT made before Danny was born. It was created in 2008 after another fanfic purge.
