This is October 1975. They're just the warm-up act.
FM album had just been released in August and Over My Head as the first single. And they don't even do it. Stevie only sings one song, and Rhiannon (nice early outro btw) wouldn't even be released as a single until March. After they were already in the studio recording Rumours in February. This lineup would appear on the Midnight Special in 1976, but in fall 1975, almost no one knew anything about them, or what was about to come. They were just about to explode, but in 1975, they toured relentlessly , averaging over 4 shows a week, and at one point played 11 straight days in October, playing small theaters, opening act, and college towns in Montana, Wyoming, Wisconsin...
They played in NYC on this tour- the 3800 seat Beacon Theater. In Spring 1977, a short year and a half later, they played 3 straight sold out shows of 35,000 each at Madison Square Garden.
We were just starting to get images- what's the deal with this band with the cute girl in the top hat? Does she do anything but look pretty? We were about to find out.
Rhiannon was a hit.
Say You Love Me was a hit.
FM album would become a #1 album.
Go Your Own Way was their first top ten hit launching Rumours.
Dreams was their only #1 hit and the dam burst...
But all of that was still in the future. And so was noticing that band with the cute girl in the top hat...

I like a lot of Fleetwood Mac's older songs, before Lindsay and Stevie.
