  Outlaws felt very much like a Disney Star Wars product and that is not a compliment.

  "The Book of Boba Fett" had a similar story problem, where for a story supposedly about a hardened bounty hunter's rise to power as the galaxy's new top mafia boss, it featured a Boba Fett who was so neat and clean that you got the feeling he wouldn't even commit jaywalking unless it was to save a child from being hit by a truck. Disney Star Wars has a strange internal logic where it's willing go full-on edgelord when it comes to the Jedi Knights, but turns into a pearl clutching Sunday School teacher at the thought of a scoundrel commiting a genuine crime.

  Outlaws, where you can only fight specific law breakers and stormtroopers. Where you can't do many illegal things.

  The problem is that many executives hate to involve real-world crime in their products, specifically by the heroes.<br><br>One example is when, in the early Star Wars books, the editors argued with some authors for portraying Han Solo as a drug dealer. According to them, the &quot;spices&quot; were things like cumin, salt, and pepper, until George Lucas clarified that the spices were actually space crack.<br><br>So, one of the main Star Wars heroes is canonically a drug dealer, confirmed by his creator.

  The game didn&apos;t have 600 developers working on it &nbsp;ot had 10 developers per studio across 11 studios and the rest were managers trying to coordinate people who didn&apos;t speak the same language and had no idea what each other was doing.

  &quot;Just okay&quot; is how I view all of Star Wars anymore. &nbsp;All of the cool and interesting parts of the setting have been slowly drained away from it, leaving it as a bland and generic sci-fi setting.

  This is what we all knew would happen when Disney bought Star Wars. Every Star Wars product has to be as inoffensive as possible and follow a strict set of rules for their characters. Vest was never going to be a real scoundral because a main character in a Disney owned IP has to be altruistic. <br><br>It&apos;s why we&apos;ll never get games like KOTOR 1 &amp; 2 again. Where you have real choice and agency.
