George Lucas unknowingly made one of the best Star Wars casting decisions ever when he got Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma for the scene that didn't even make it in.

Wow, all of these cut scenes. If there was a time to release a definitive version of this movie it'd be now during the 20th anniversary

The deleted scene of Obi-Wan and Yoda being ambushed at the Jedi Temple would end up being a level in LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game, which was released 2 months before Revenge of the Sith.

There is a great 4 hour fan cut of ROTS that includes the original film, all of the finished deleted scenes, scenes involving Grievous kidnapping Palpatine from the 2-D Micro Series, and the last 4 episodes of the Clone Wars involving Ahsoka, Rex, and Maul all battling on Mandalore with Bo-Katan and her army. Its an absolutely incredible and emotional spectacle.

And yet even after all that, it doesn't include the stuff you mentioned here. Thats how GARGANTUAN Revenge of the Sith was truly meant to be.

Fun Fact: Hugh Jackman, Joseph Fiennes, Kenneth Branagh and Tim Roth were all considered for the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi before Ewan McGregor was cast.

There's a phenomenal novelization of this movie that adds back every deleted scene that fits continuity. Padme's an actual character, and Anakin's turn is much more dramatic and believable.

Man why do the early versions of the prequels always sound better. Like yeah obviously a 4 hour star wars movie is too long (although I think 3 hours could’ve been enough) so stuff like cutting Han Solo or Yoda arriving at Dagoba is fine but man a lot of this sounded really cool

The novelization gives a much better picture of the overall story than the Final Cut of the film does. It elaborates on every character’s motivation and anakin’s fall to the dark side is much more believable.
