Why did I find this video oddly satisfying and calming. It was like story time. I even grabbed a blanket lol.

You just explained the history of the early Earth better than anything I ever learned in school. Please, more of these. I also laughed out loud over two of your jokes. This site is awesome.

Animals didn’t choose to adapt. Most just died out, and a few happened to fit the environment well enough to survive and reproduce. Evolution isn’t about trying to survive — it’s about not dying long enough to reproduce.

This video reminds me of my 8th grade science teacher who is responsible for my love of all things science. He gave me my first Megalodon tooth. He was about 26 at the time and stepped away from being a research scientist to teach 8th graders. He's in his 70s now and a terrific friend. I still have the tooth, and he gave my grandson his first Megalodon tooth. Great teachers change lives. This is a great video for teachers to use as a tool.

I love learning about prehistory, never ceases to amaze me how everything evolved and developed with the passage of time.

Am I the only one who gets sad that all these species no longer exist, and have left nothing behind? Life seems pretty lackluster in comparison nowadays.

Imagine you are the first person live in earth and the only noise you can hear is the ocean tides.
