  I've been banging on this drum for so long!!!! Churches should be churches.  Corporations should be corporations. Neither should be both.  Thank you for the information.

  The problem is that churches put too much emphasis on a certain preacher instead of developing a relationship with Christ.

  If you pay your full tithing and end up in need, MAYBE the LDS church will provide sustenance to make up the difference. It depends on your bishop. It’s just as likely that after opening up your complete financial life, the bishop will find some unnecessary expenditures, deny your request, and then give you a lecture about the need for self-reliance.<br><br>Sometimes the most self-reliant thing you can do is not pay tithing to the multi-hundred billion dollar corporation so you don’t find yourself in need in the first place.

  LDS members have no right to demand audits. The church is completely unrestricted. Businesses are run solely by a group of administrators who receive very high salaries. There is absolutely no transparency.
