Florida housing not crashing. It is overpriced. They bought a house for 400k in 2020 now they ask for 800k. Prices are ridiculous 😅

Interest rates don’t matter now. Demand destruction is in full swing and it is killing borrowing itself. Just like 2007-2012.

As a native Floridian, before the pandemic myself, wife and daughter, we've lived on 30000$ yearly. Now we make over a 100 grand a year, and we are just as broke.

A 2k monthly house to rent is roughly 65 dollars a day. Meaning before you get out of bed you paid 65$ to sleep. It's insane.

Florida housing prices are still largely valued as if mortgage rates were 3%. If rates stay elevated for several years, prices will likely need to decline or, at best, stay flat until incomes catch up. So if you buy today, you need to be comfortable with the possibility that it could take a decade or longer before you see meaningful appreciation.
