I am healed! Leaving my garden of 30 years has been hard. However, I loved what Bunny said that she did the garden for her enjoyment and doesnât expect it will continue after she leaves this earth and thatâs ok! Thank you Bunny! What a dream visiting her!

Love this interview. My neighbor just lost a giant 350 year old beech nut tree. The tree was massive and it looked like a elephant laying on the ground. She is grieving the lose of the tree and thought that was crazy. I told her she was normal and I understood how she felt. These beautiful trees are an awesome creation and gift from God. They add so much pleasure to our lives and add such beauty to our world. They are like family and so yes it's ok to grieve when they die. So many people take these beautiful creations for granted. I'm so grateful to God for my 14 acres and the nature around me and my husband and I have done our best to steward it well. Thank you for sharing this interview with us.

When Bunny said she has an affair with her house, that explains everything why I do what I do. I'm totally in LOVE with my home and the land it sets on as the land was given to me by my parents. I played in the woods my home sets on that was part of the family farm. My first husband unfortunately lost our home. It was sold and I filled up a Ball canning jar with soil and took it with me. I was destroyed emotionally to say the least never thinking I would be able to return to the place I loved the most. I ended up divorcing my first husband.

Thirteen years later, remarried, my second husband and I bought back this beautiful home and land. The planting of trees to replace 200 year old Ash trees lost because of the Emerald ash borer was absolutely heartbreaking but we continue to replace and add trees and evergreens.

Gardening and designing my home and land is my joy and my love. It is immeasurable. I thank God daily that He has allowed me to continue my beautiful affair with my home and garden. I also put back the soil from the Ball canning jar from where it came. I give God all the glory.

Thanks for reading,.....

Psalm 3:5-6
