Great advice there Alan 👍 I always think that gardeners are forever optimistic, no matter what we always have plans and hopes for next year! That's part of the fun 😄

I'm stacking up veggie buckets in mini pyramids in the back yard. Each has a layer of leaves and other composting matter forked into the top few inches. By spring they'll be ready for veg planting.  I'm single, so a bucket of spuds, carrots and various cut-and-come-again greens coming ready at intervals is perfect for me. No heavy digging. My yard is 22 ft by 17 ft (yes, I'm that old) and I haven't bought any veg in months. Tasty. And your advice, Alan, is so helpful and encouraging. 😺

Thank you, Mr Titchmarsh. Another informative little video. Can be a sad time in the winter, but the happy prospect of spring keeps a smile on a gardeners face..🌺

Amazing video! I grew up watching you and now so is my 9 year old son, you have trained two generations of gardeners 😅. We’re going to be moving into our forever home (new build) so a video on how to design a garden from scratch would be very interesting and useful

Its August, and while relaxing in the warm sunshine, I've already started planning for next year. A  Rose  that turned out to be a climber to move, Allium Bulbs to order, Geranium cuttings potted, and Sweet Pea seeds to buy.

You model optimism, Alan!  As I cut back my garden flowers, I say "thank you" with every snip.  Yes, that's a lot of thank yous, but then, they give me a lot of smiles.  Happy Winter to all.  💛🌻💛
