  The issue is that people treat the IS-3 like a cold war design and compare it to vehicles it actually faced during the Cold War<br><br>It should instead be compared to other WW2 heavy tanks because that is what it is

  I was fortunate enough to sit in an IS-3 when I was about 14. I was 5 foot 8 inches at the time, and I found all the positions to be mildly cramped, but not as bad as I had thought. My least favorite seat to sit in was certainly the gunners position. <br><br>This was an IS-3M, of Egyptian origin.<br><br>My main complaint, if I had to pick one, was commander visibility was inferior to other designs, even soviet ones. <br><br>But you get a feel for how thick that armor is, being in the turret and just knowing you have a combined nearly 11 inches of armor in front of you kind of inspires confidence.

  For some reason IS-3 is the only tank that really scares me. Not in the way that i would be scared to face it off in battle, couse obviously i would, but scary in a sense that i feel uneasy when i see it irl in a museum or as a monument

  IS-3 had potential, but she was unfortunately too late for the war she was made for, and rushed into a new war she was never designed to fight.

  It was a good enough tank. It was utterly crushed by the T-54 series&apos; onset into service.

  After clicking &apos;&apos;do not recommend channel&apos;&apos; on about 150 different AI slop channels I think youtube has mostly got the message on my end. Great video brah, and the IS3 used to be hella fun back in the early days of World of Tanks it was top of the tier 8 food chain back then
