Manual of the Planes was the basis upon which Planescape expanded on the Multiverse and made it ready for adventuring.

Browsing through the 2e planescape material should:
A) yield plenty of ideas for incorporating the planes, and
B) let you enjoy Tony diTerlizzi's this-era-of-TSR defining art.

I loved my Manual of the Planes. Especially since they delved into real Kabala concepts and put them into the book. later while studying Kabala and Crowley's plane working I was like "Ohh That's just like when I use to play D&D and the Manual of the Planes as a kid!" lol

New to D&D, Planescape Torment got me interested! I think the setting of Planescape and concept of the D&D multiverse is really cool!

This was the book that completed my collection (aside from original cover arts) of the hard-bound 1st edition books. Walden Books was still carrying 1st edition, and they had it for (I think) 20 bucks. For my birthday, my aunt gave me 20 dollars, so I went to the mall the next day and walked out with the last missing piece to my collection.
Love the book, there's so many helpful sections.

Great vid! Definitely one of the books that, despite its relatively high purchase price these days, still gives excellent value for money. My party don't know they'll be going off-plane yet. But they will. And my copy will be very useful then.

Another great video guys! Btw its funny that you call it a money grab because if you haven't noticed, WotC used an almost identical cover page for their newest book, Monsters of the Multiverse for 5e, that is considered one of the biggest money grab in WotC history since in order to buy it the first 6 months you couldnt take it alone but it was only available through a boxed set with other two books that have been come out a couple of years ago. So if you wanted the new book you were forced to buy AGAIN books that you already had. They used the same cover page to appeal to old school audience as well.

The Planescape campaign setting box and alignment boxes expanded on this manual. I’m a big fan of the planar setting. Cool video!
