Sleep is the only trip I take where I carry no baggage, no deadlines and no version of myself I have to perform. I go somewhere my anxiety can't follow me and my overthinking finally runs out of fuel.

It’s fascinating that you can be completely unconscious while your brain is still processing so much information.

I go in my bed, but some dreams are so realistic and bizarre it takes a few minutes to realize you're back in Kansas!

The fact that we spend about a third of our lives asleep makes me wonder how much of who we are is shaped while we're unconscious. Fascinating video. 🌙

It's easy to think of sleep as just 'turning off,' but the amount of work the brain does while we’re out is amazing. Filtering memories and cleaning house—it’s essentially an automatic maintenance mode that we can’t afford to skip.

Maybe that's why tomorrow can feel lighter than today. Sometimes all our minds need is one good night's sleep to begin letting go

Quite truthful. Dreams even feel so real.

I've been waking up around 3 AM for years. I honestly thought something was wrong with me. This video explains so much.

the part were you said the person who went to bed yesterday is someone else when they get back up. From a computer perspective, when an update happens, it's the same system but some things have changed/fixed

It’s strange how we spend so much of our lives asleep, yet barely understand where our minds go.☺

15 years ago, I was experiencing vivid dreams.
And this continued on for several months.
Every time I would go to sleep, it was the same dream.
I was a homesteader than later, a rancher in the old west
You might think I’m full of beans when I tell you what I experienced
If I did hard work during my dreams. I woke up with sore muscles.
Also, I had control of all my senses in these streams. I could smell horses if I went into a saloon I could smell cigars and whiskey if I went into a restaurant or home, I could smell the food being cooked. I finally just started journaling with all this stuff and it’s made for a good information for writing down a western..
Since then, I have not had dreams like this was this due to me having too much stress in my life
