  My boyfriend works at Meta and worked on these glasses. He’s freaking out that Ryan is in the glasses he made. The engineers get so excited when they see people using the products they worked years on. Thanks for trying them Ryan

  I really appreciate how Ryan doesn’t just blindly praise and hype up products such as this one, like a lot of other YouTubers would. He’s instead really transparent in his coverage of them and doesn’t shy away from the ways it falls short. It has a really optimistic message, to me, about the importance of humanity and detaching from this technology that, though fancy, won’t replace the authentic human experience, and it’s incredibly refreshing amidst the storm of hyper-tech focused media with depressing implications that we find ourselves in. <br>It’s this kind of genuineness that keeps me coming back to Ryan’s content, though I’m probably older than most of his audience. He is more concerned with doing good than retaining viewership and making money, and I wish I could say the same about more content creators, especially those geared towards younger audiences. He kinda feels like a modern Mr. Rogers in that sense; just a genuine kind soul.
