did you go with 1/8" or 1/4" HDPE plastic for the vented lids? Awesome design!

Modular T-slot aluminium extrusions. I have had this idea myself for over a year now but have not gotten around to it 🤗 I was looking into automation (programming is another hobby of mine and I wanted to start learning engineering) a lot and these things are widely used in industry. Freedom breeder racks are too expensive here in Europe. 40x40mm aluminium extrusions is the way to go. More cost effective, modular, and very strong. It's so easy to add all sorts of things on (e.g. turnable bars at the front to assure snakes cannot escape enclosures). For the idea man 💡 Which extrusion did you use? 20, 25, 30, 40mm? They're also going to be great for breeding rodents. It's impossible to get freedom breeder rodent racks here in Europe. Only the snake racks and tubs are available.
